CITY OF FAIRFIELD <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 86- // <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING INTERIM ZONING REGULATIONS <br />FOR A PORTION OF THE CORDELIA SPECIFIC PLAN AREA <br />AS AN URGENCY MEASURE. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD DOES ORDAIR AS <br /> S' <br />FOLLOW . <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> A. The Department of Environmental Affairs nas recommended <br />that a oortion of the Cordelia Specific Rlan Area have its land <br />use designation changeo from Residential to Rlanned Development <br />Center. <br /> <br /> B. General and specific plan amendments have been recom- <br />mended by the Fairfield Rlanning Commission to change the land <br />use designation from Residential to Rlanned Development Center. <br /> <br /> C. Government Code section 65860 will require that zoning <br />ordinances be adopted consistent with the amended general plan. <br /> <br /> D. The City Council desires, pursuant to Article XI, Sec- <br />tion 7, of the California Constitution, and Government Code <br />section 65858 to prohibit land uses which would be inconsistent <br />with the contemplated zoning proposal to change the land use <br />regulations from Residential to the Rlanned Development Zoning <br />District incorporating those uses aha regulations included in <br />the text of the Rlanned Employment Center designation contained <br />in the proposed Cordelia Area Specific Rlan. <br /> <br /> E. The Council finds that the public health, safety, and <br />welfare require that new uses and development inconsistent with <br />the contemplated zoning proposal be prohibited on an interim <br />basis. <br /> <br /> Section 2: No land use approvals shall ce processed or <br />granted on that certain real property identified in Exhibit <br />"A", attached hereto, which would conflict with the °lanned <br />Development District as provided in section 25.21 of the <br />Fairfield City Code and the Rlanned Employment Center uses <br />included in the Cordelia Area Specific Rlan. <br /> <br />3180E <br /> <br /> <br />
