CITY OF FAIRFIELD ORDINANCE NO. 86- // AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING INTERIM ZONING REGULATIONS FOR A PORTION OF THE CORDELIA SPECIFIC PLAN AREA AS AN URGENCY MEASURE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD DOES ORDAIR AS S' FOLLOW . Section 1: A. The Department of Environmental Affairs nas recommended that a oortion of the Cordelia Specific Rlan Area have its land use designation changeo from Residential to Rlanned Development Center. B. General and specific plan amendments have been recom- mended by the Fairfield Rlanning Commission to change the land use designation from Residential to Rlanned Development Center. C. Government Code section 65860 will require that zoning ordinances be adopted consistent with the amended general plan. D. The City Council desires, pursuant to Article XI, Sec- tion 7, of the California Constitution, and Government Code section 65858 to prohibit land uses which would be inconsistent with the contemplated zoning proposal to change the land use regulations from Residential to the Rlanned Development Zoning District incorporating those uses aha regulations included in the text of the Rlanned Employment Center designation contained in the proposed Cordelia Area Specific Rlan. E. The Council finds that the public health, safety, and welfare require that new uses and development inconsistent with the contemplated zoning proposal be prohibited on an interim basis. Section 2: No land use approvals shall ce processed or granted on that certain real property identified in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, which would conflict with the °lanned Development District as provided in section 25.21 of the Fairfield City Code and the Rlanned Employment Center uses included in the Cordelia Area Specific Rlan. 3180E
